Greatest season of all time?
Last
months review.
What better place
to start than right at the top, well he didn’t start there but that’s where
Martin Lewis currently sits.
Four months of
hard work were rewarded with 4 Division 1 wins that not only make Martin odds
on to book the third spot in the Premier play-off, but also lift him back up to
the top of the total points list to make him favourite for the title of season
champion.
A tight Division 2
saw Lee Evans and David Pendry sneak back to the top flight to give themselves
possibly one last chance of the fourth Premier Division play off spot.
It was definitely
squeaky bum time in Division 3 with promotion and relegation for all 5 players
dependant upon the result of the final match. In the end everyone scored 20 points
or more, nobody made 30 so perhaps the winners were actually those who went
down!
By contrast
Division 4 saw four players scoring over 30 points (3 after 6player Division
deductions were made) John Merriman and Paul Tompkins were tied at the top, but
again was the real winner James Gordon whose 29 (adjusted) points see him rise
to the top of the Championship Play Off race, while staying put in Division 4
for another points haul this month?
Division 5 was
topped by the ever present Simon Colbeck, 4 impressive wins and 35 points see
him climb the total points table, and if the season ended today he’d be in a
play off to get into the play offs – lets hope a little separation occurs in
the next two months!
With two new
entries into Division 6 this month it proved to be the strongest bottom division
in history. Sorry Gopal – but well done for battling on against some big
hitters! Minesh Patel topped the group
by virtue of getting Marco out on court. Welcome to the league Seamus Horgan
and Simon Hodges, hopefully Division 5 will be a little more testing next
month.

A close one this
month with lots of strong performances, but after a split decision the judges
have gone for Simon Colbeck. Well done Simon, the prize from our sponsor will
be with you soon.
