Click on text above to view news items Hertfordshire Tennis Website About the Club Located in the Heart of Watford within the Grounds of The West Herts Sports Club entrance in Park Avenue (opp Mildred Avenue) West Herts & Watford Tennis Club aim to provide excellent tennis facilities, competitive team, social and individual standards of play for all the membership in a year round while providing a friendly and relaxed environment. The Club has tournaments all year round from Club & Handicap, Winter Box League Singles & Doubles League and monthly mid-week and Bank Holiday Specials. West Herts & Watford Tennis Club is one of the largest clubs in the area offering 10 courts for year round play. There are 7 all weather outdoor and 3 excellent grass courts. The club caters for all playing abilities from beginners through to competitive players. They have 5 men's teams with the first team playing county level division 1. The ladies have 4 teams of which the first team play in the 1st Division. The club provide two qualified coaches to meet all existing and new members' needs, including their juniors. They offer individual and group sessions. The junior section is very active with over 50 members and is regarded by the LTA as one of the best in Hertfordshire. There are dedicated junior club tournaments, junior club rating system and a very successful LTA accredited Mini-Tennis centre Facilities The club is located in the grounds of the West Herts Sports Club. It has a well equipped club house and an excellent members bar.
Tennis club members now have full access to the fabulous West Hert Gym & Fitness centre situated within the Sports Club.
